Choosing a new school is an exciting prospect. Whether you are a day student residing with your parents in Chiang Mai or an overseas familiy looking for a world class boarding school, PTIS has become a top choice for many families around the world.

School Background
Started in 2001, Prem Tinsulanonda International School now has more than 475 students from over 35 countries. Families have come to appreciate the rigorous and challenging IB programme and our spacious campus. Very few international schools offer the space for sporting venues, spacious classrooms and library facilities that are available to all at PTIS.
The Prem campus reminds visitors of a small university setting with quiet waterways and tree-lined walkways. Away from the congestion and noise of an urban environment, students and teachers appreciate the unique nature of our campus.
We welcome approximately 70 new students each year. Many of our students are far from home and are experiencing boarding for the first time. With over 35 nationalities in the student body, you will be joining a diverse group of welcoming, interesting and open-minded students.
Families looking for a unique boarding experience will find an exceptional environment located in the rich Northern Thailand context. World class medical and dental facilities are available in Chiang Mai and the air service includes over fifty flights a day to major destinations. Many of our students come from Bangkok and return each weekend on one of the twenty flights per day offered by major and budget carriers.
Prem offers a truly unique learning environment. Our often repeated credo - "Living to learn, learning to live" - is indicative of the balance of work and play afforded by life at Prem. Our staff, students and local community are quick to welcome newcomers and make everyone feel not only welcome to, but included within, our community.
